Hole at top of entry door with wire protruding

Found bullet size hole at top of entry door frame, not attached to doorto

my place with small wire protruding? What could this be? Never noticed

Seems that the place is wired for an alarm system but non is  
jigglybum<3
installed.

Check at windows and see if you find any wires there, too.
